Sealy were the first UK furniture and bed manufacturing company to be certified to the original British Standard for Quality Management, known as BS5750, back in 1986 (coming up to 30 years of being certified!).
This was subsequently adopted by the EN (Europaische Norm) (European Standard) and the ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) to be known in the UK as BS EN ISO9001.
It defines requirements for operating a (quality) management system with the aim of maintaining and improving on the delivery of customer and other stakeholder requirements.
Sealy are committed to the upkeep and improvement of the process controls we apply to all areas of the business, and to this end we are soon to transition to the 2015 version of the standard.
