Stefanie Williams, Fitness Trainer and Instagram sensation

After playing hockey for the Welsh International team for a number of years, Instagram sensation Stefanie Williams (@stef_fit) went on to become a qualified fitness trainer, and now shares her fitness tips and videos to her 879k Instagram followers. Motivated by helping others achieve their fitness goals and seeing their incredible transformations, Stef is dedicated to sharing her exercises, tips and tricks as well as spreading her passion for training. Not only this, Stef has also released two books – her Home Guide and Gym Guide – to provide further guidance on everything from exercise and nutritional plans, as well as rest and recovery.

What have you been up to recently?
Recently, I’ve been working to organise an event to help and raise awareness for Endometriosis and Polycystic Ovaries Syndrome sufferers, as I am one myself. It has many side effects from severe stomach pains to depression, and exhaustion (which is another reason why sleep is very important to me).
Another project I have been working on is the launch of my fitness App called Fit With Stef, which means my followers can train interactively with me and become the best versions of themselves, physically and mentally.
What is your daily sleep routine?
I am somewhere in between an early bird and a night owl, but my boyfriend is an early bird so he always falls to sleep before me and is trying to turn me into an early bird.
Has your sleep quality altered since receiving your Sealy Activsleep Geltex Pocket 2800?
I’m a light sleeper and was previously quite restless during the night, but since receiving my Sealy my sleep has definitely improved, and I’m definitely less restless now. I also hate having to leave my bed now because it’s so comfy!
How important is getting a great night’s sleep when it comes to living a healthy, happy lifestyle?
Sleep is number one for me! It’s so important to let your brain and body recover from daily activity. Sleep is the prime time for recovery – it’s when the body carries out important maintenance including healing and growing, and is fundamental to having good energy levels and mental health.
